How it works

From an identifier to a decision

Capture the VIN or plate

A CSR, a customer on your website, an installer in the field or an imported lead provides a VIN. If the customer cannot find it, a licence plate and state can resolve to the VIN instead.

Decode the vehicle

The VIN becomes structured year, make, model, trim and body, plus whatever build detail the provider exposes.

Detect the glass-relevant features

ADAS cameras, lane departure, heads-up display, rain and condensation sensors, heated areas, acoustic interlayers, bracket and moulding requirements.

Weigh the evidence

Provider data, catalogue data and prior confirmations are scored against each other. A feature that is proven present narrows the candidates. A feature that is merely unknown never eliminates a part.

Match and carry forward

The selected part flows into the quote, the supplier check, the inventory reservation, the calibration requirement and the reporting record.

Is this just a VIN decoder?

No. A decoder returns vehicle attributes. GlassiO uses those attributes, plus glass catalogue data and your own confirmations, to select a part and drive the job around it.

What happens when the decode is ambiguous?

Candidates stay visible with the evidence behind them rather than one silent guess. Your team confirms, and the confirmation is retained for next time.

Does plate decode work everywhere?

Plate to VIN resolution depends on the state and the data provider. It is a faster starting point, not a replacement for final review.

Can we correct a wrong match?

Yes, and you should. Confirming the correct part is the mechanism by which the engine improves for that vehicle and its family.
